Criminal Investigations Division
The Thomas County Sheriff's Office Criminal
Investigation Division is comprised of six (6)
personnel employed by the Sheriff. There are
five (5) Investigators and one (1) administrative
assistant. This office investigates crimes
reported to the Sheriff's Office and assists the
smaller towns in the area. The Sheriff's
Office is a liaison with the City Police Department
and the State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies.
The majority of the Investigators have secondary
duties such as being a Hostage Negotiator and a
member of the S.W.A.T.
The CID also maintains the Thomas County Sex
Offenders Registry.
